What are wax melts?
Wax melts are little cubes of wax that don't require a wick to burn. When heated, they release a strong fragrance into the room, but do not evaporate. Wax melts are a fabulous stronger and cheaper alternative to candles.
To get the most out of your Wonderwax melts, we advise to use a tealight burner. When choosing your burner make sure you take into account its height, and how large the air holes are on its sides. This will determine your wax's performance.ALWAYS use a '4 hour' tealight. These are the small ones. Larger tealights will cause the wax to heat too quickly allowing the scent to burn off faster than it should. Larger tealights can also cause burners to crack or shatter.
Depending on your room size and personal preference, break off a cube or two of wax and place in the burner. Pop in an unscented tealight and light the wick. Continue to use the same wax melt until you can no longer smell it. 10g of wax will give around 10 hours of scent in total. Wax melts do not disappear so make sure you change the melt after the scent has burnt off.
The intensity of the scent will vary depending on the room size, type of burner, and volume of wax used. In a larger room we suggest to have two burners evenly spaced out. Keep windows and doors closed as this will hold a strong scent in the room.
To change you wax melt, you can either soak it up with cotton pads whilst the wax is molten, or apply pressure to the cooled down wax so it pops out the burner in one piece.
When burning wax melts:
- DO NOT add water to hot wax
- DO NOT ingest wax. It looks good enough to eat but it's not edible!
- Place your burner and melts out of the reach of children and pets.
- Ensure your tealight burner is not in places near drafts or flammable objects (such as curtains), but in a well-ventilated area.
- DO NOT leave a lit burner unattended
- Wax melts contain dye so avoid contact with fabrics as dyed wax can cause staining
- DO NOT transport a burner while in use
- Only use your burner for a maximum of 4 hours at a time

Please note all snap bars will come in a self seal clear cellophane pouch and not hand wrapped in a piece of cellophane (for website photography use only). This makes it much easier for you to store and re-open the packet again once opened. Please check the packaging for allergen advice or use our contact form.

Any brand new and unopened items can be returned within 7 days of receiving your order. All items will be checked thoroughly. Please note we will not accept any opened or part used products. Buyer to cover return postage fee.
